This probably wont help at all but thought i would post it.....my 85 2.8 was hitting 115 when i was racing a 00 v6 stang and i had two fat kids and a load of camping gear along with 4 of my brother's miatas race tires as we were heading up to auto cross....i didnt think my car could go that fast

 

ive gotten my 96 3.8L with custom intake and magnaflow exaust camaro well past 120 mph, probably around 135, but i backed down cause im not a wreckless driver.. lol i prob. wouldnt do it again but it was kinda fun./

Ill agree with both you guys. Driving that fast is just stupid considering how many times i have been pulled over for speeding its really not worth it...I would like to get into legal drags but the problem is here all of our tracks are 1/8miles. I mean yes i have driven that fast before but its pretty risky...

 

o yeah im not saying thatt i havnt either... and i wont say that im not a wreckless driver either, actualy, ill say that i am... i speed almost everywhere i go and i race all the time considering we have no track anywhere around here... but i was stating that driving 120 is definitly driving wreckless

 

Fastest I've personally gone is 165 in a BMW 540i (driving) and I sat shot gun in an Evo 8 going 185

 

185?! that's crazy! what was done to that Evo?? what was it like going that fast?

 

Cold air intake, blow off valve, NGK iridium spark plugs, MSD 8.8 mm spark plug wires and that's really it. Besides a turbo timer. Nothing to really add THAT much power. Stock turbo. We ran out of free freeway, we still had some RPM's to burn. It was a little scary, not going to lie. Every thing was a blur. An adrenaline rush!

 

you think 120 is wreckless, well the guy 185 is luck he didnt get a flat or something, but i was on an open 3 lane road at 2 am, Forsure no cops around in that area.
