It provides minimal gains if any. It's supposed to spin the air so the fuel atomizes better. If you're looking for ALL the horsepower you can get out of your engine, sure. It's pretty easy to install too.

 

With port fuel injection it makes no difference on how much you spin the air, as it is all going in one direction by the time it gets by the injectors. It may help with TBI to keep the fuel suspended, and it may add or reduce power, depending on how the intake manifold is configured.

 

Pete's right. I have one on My 93 4x4 pickup and it seemed to help the torque a little.
