THROTTLE BODY QUESTION
OK I AM POSTING THIS AGAIN WITH HOPES SOMEONE HAS A SUGGESTION. I WANT TO UPGRADE THE FACTORY THROTTLE BODY ON MY 2001 3800 V6 CAMARO. I CAN ONLY FIND TB'S FOR LS1 AND LT1. THIS MAY SOUND STUPID BUT WILL A TB FOR AN LS1 WORK ON THE 38OO V6?. IF NOT DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A THROTTLE BODY UPGRADE FOR THE V6 CAMARO? THANKS.

RE: THROTTLE BODY QUESTION
My cuz owns a race shop and I asked him the same question. His answer was getting a bigger throttle body for is ok if you are going to upgrade your engine. If you are going to leave it stock it will cause your car to run sluggish. The best thing to do is get a True cold air-intake which is the one that cost about $200 you will get a decent of amount of horsepower about 7-12..and if you haven't upgraded your exhaust system already you might want to start there.

RE: THROTTLE BODY QUESTION
There are no after market throttle bodies made for the 3800 V6. However if want to go through the trouble, you can adapt the throttle body from a 90 deg 4.3 truck V6. Youwill need to fabricate an adapter plate, and linkage brackets. My son just went through this nose bleed on his GP and it works OK, but didn't do much for additional power.

RE: THROTTLE BODY QUESTION
Sure there are aftermarket TB's for the 3800. I'm actually thinkin' of buying this one.

What do you think? Should i get this and the cold air intake, to solve that problem of sluggishness?
