Could anyone explain what the benefits this has and I was wondering if it would be alright to run here in Indiana during the winter

 

It is supposed to add some power by keeping the air colder. But the air goes through the throttle body so fast that it can only pick up very little heat. In cold humid weather the air rushing through the throttle body can cause icing of the throttle body and driveability problems. The heated throttle body prevents this problem.
