I would still have two keys though right? Or can they make one key for everything? So I'm assuming this is common for

Yes it usually is common to originally have more than 1 key :P I know what you mean by the confusion, my other car, and any car I've driven, only had one key, that and a fob.

My car has two keys, one for all doors and hatch, one for key cylinder. Sounds like someone changed the lock at some point. I know my passenger side key cylinder froze up recently, so maybe theirs a common problem there.

Both doors, the hatch, the glove box, and the t-tops (if equipped) use the same oval-head key. The ignition switch uses its own square head key.

The original keys have a black plastic covering on the head.

If you have more than one oval-head key then that lock cylinder (or the component it is installed in) has been replaced. Like, say, the car is in a wreck and a door is replaced. A lot of body shops won't bother taking the door apart to change lock cylinders if the replacement comes with a key. If the lock cylinder is damaged in the crash, swapping cylinders isn't even an option.
