Default Tap the breaks, then check engine lite

Ladies and Gents I have solved the riddle. My 94 3.4L received an entirely new braking system.....(save the ABS module). After securing the vacuum system to "tight as a drum specs", I was confused that everytime I tapped the brakes.....number one they felt soft, number two me and my brother in law bled the brakes with 96oz of fluid, thirdly the check engine light would come on. I tried to read the codes......but the computer refused to go into diagnostic mode. VERY FRUSTRATING TO SAY THE LEAST.

To make a short story long.........I forgot to change the power brake booster check valve.............I changed it yes......and the system was even tighter.......but still just off. Thats when I saw the fitting on the vapor line going into the purge valve. It's discontinued, so I used a piece of 1/4" fuel line and slid it in place. It was a tight fit...but it worked. At that point I reset the computer.....drove it around all day.........and would you belive, the vacuum was tight-the power brake booster worked properly.......and the best part.........NO MORE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!

I rest my case......the 3.4L REQUIRES a COMPLETELY TIGHT vacuum system in order to function within parameters.
