Ive been thinking of getting an engine swap. but im not sure if i want a v8. I want to know if it is possible to get a buick 3.8 supercharged engine to work. Granted i know it will need new mounts, but i want to know if i can hook up my transmission to something like that.

 

I don't think the 3.4 tranny will bolt up to the 3.8, even though it is the same tranny. I believe the bellhousing patterns are different. This swap is a big enough pain for those that already have a 3.8 (only one person has done it). So I can imagine it would be even worse for you.

 

The supercharger will end up facing the wrong direction for the belts to line up, then there's some grinding to make the hood close, and some special intake fabrication required. I don't reccomend trying it.

 

ok thanks for the info. Ill probably go for another 3.4 then. Maybe some upgrades to make it better. Any recommendations?
