Default suspension strengthening ?'s

i know a few little things about suspension from when i had my escort.
but what are all the replaceable suspension parts on a 98 v6?
i would like to lower it at least about an inch too
it will always be a v6 so thats all i need as far as load handling.
thanks for all your help
i want to replace everything underneath.

well, eibach pro kit springs are a great lowering spring. They will lower about an inch front and back. Depending where you go, i'd say $250-$270. You can replace everything underneath your car, but the things that will get you the best performance for the least work is, kyb agx struts, shocks, eibach springs, swaybars, strut bar, all poly bushing. I have a 94 v6, soon to be a v8, but i am replacing all suspension to be basically a race car if i want to take it to the track, but mainly a cruisin car. But what i listed above will more then likely be good enough for you. Also a decent set of tires is always good.

Any other questions?

autocross is racing... anyway, i'm a senior in highschool, you're a sophmore? So i'll go back two years and work ya up to where i am now and where i'd like to be. First thing's first... other ppl correct me, i would normally say poly bushing kit. But since almost all aftermarket parts come with then allready, that's kinda a waste. I would buy some kyb agx adj. struts/shocks and eibach lowering springs first. Buy them at the same time, or atleast install them because you'll need to put the new shocks on the struts. Save you work down the road to do it at one time. After that is sway bars! A must! Adjustable panhard bar and strut bar. Good tires. Subframe connectors. rear lower control arms. a-arms. torque bar. The last few things aren't really necessary. But they'll help something atleast a lil bit. It all depends on how serious you get. If you get really serious, get adjustable everything you can. You'll pay sometimes up to twice as much, but hey, what do u expect. But that's my opinion. Hope i cleared anything else up, but keep shootin things out. I love talking about 4th gen suspension.

i dont love school or anything, but why on earth would you quit highschool. anyway

I would go ahead and say that the order i stated earlier is a pretty good order to buy parts. start with struts/shocks and springs then to sway bars.

yea dude, and i know how it is having a v6 in highschool. I may not have the fastest car, but i gurantee i'll give any other car in my school a run for its money on a nice curvy road. So, i've got that. And two jl 15" subs where the back seats were, so it also poundes and is sexy as ****! lol

I don't think you emphasized this enough... You can have all the suspension goodies you want, but without a good set of tires, they would be pointless. It would be like have a high horsepower engine, and getting to use all the power, because you have a weak tranny. Everything else sounds good though.

here is my thinking on this. For a kid in highschool, GOOD tires are extremely expensive, where as the other things will be cheaper and do a great deal. But i agree, good tires are an amazing thing to have. It's really all about your budget really.
