Studder under load
I replaced my EGR valve gasket last night and now I'm getting EGR solenoid 2 & 3 failure. It hesitates around 3k rpm. So I'm guessing I should just go ahead and replace my whole EGR valve?

No, I would just delete it physically and from the computer -- if that's possible on the 3.4L... ;-) It's just for emissions, and in states like IL, they no longer emissions test '95 and older cars! Dunno about FL.

You can remove the old assembly and replace it with a cover to plug the opening. Then the computer will have to be reprogrammed to delete the EGR, in order to keep the check engine light off. However, being that you are interested in mutilating the car, just put a piece of black tape over the check engine light, and you will no longer see any trouble indications. lol

the egr valve helps lower fuel consomption and lowers engine temperatures ... bla bla bla
as if a camaro ever cam with tubed wheel wheels , slicks , or even frame connectors.
but it seems the things that get changed after the cars came off the production line never stop evolving

was it ok before changing the gasket?
what did you do?
maybe the new gasket is leaking or not the same,
even ... upside down or backwards

I changed it because we took it off to clean it as it was giving 2 and 3 Solenoid failure. Not to worried about it at the moment.
