Not sure there are any advantages to using a I67 block, Most of the differences are just to make the supercharge fit. We have seen people do high end builds and low end builds and most end up damaging something in the debug phase so I hope you wallet is fat. You really need to love the 3800 to do this because you can spent 5-7K and hundreds of hours and not be as fast as a $4500 LS1 Z28.

Default L67 block in 1999 Camaro

2 questions i pulled the block out a pick and pull and putting it in my 5 speed camaro I herd the l67 block is better for boost then the l36 because of lower compression stronger rods and pistons ? And also was wanting to confirm I would also need to have the crank balanced for changing the harmonic Balancer and flexplat to a fly wheel ? This is were I’m a little lost just trying to get the correct information thank for getting back to me

You are going to have trouble finding information because I can not think of anyone doing what you are doing. You are going to run into issues with the heads. I believe the I67 have the injectors in the heads your current engine has them in the intake. This is so you can put the supercharger on.

I have no experience with the I67 but the L36 is internally balanced and you can just swap the flex plate with the a flywheel with no other change. I did on my project 96 then drove the car 100,000 Miles.

To be more clear I am doing a block swap on the Camaro I am going to use the L 67 block and my Camaros heads and intake manifold to twin turbo I did find out the answer to the questions I am going to have to disassemble the L 67 block and bring Internals crank piston balancer flywheel to engine machine shop for them to balance so I’m holding off on that the l67 block will be a long term plan for now I’m just going to put spring and retainers to Prevent valve Float on the engine in the car I’ll have 2 to 3 k invested in this project and may get 100 to 150 hp gain hopefully ..bought everything off eBay except for e85 injectors fuel pump and the springs and doing all the work my self even if the engine blows I can pick n pull another for 200 and Turbos were only 120 each my wallet pretty flat after ordering all the parts but I wanted to do this for like 15 years now am videoing the Project as I go and putting it on YouTube about have every thing and should be starting in like another week or two if your interested you can check it out and thanks for your time

[left]I did find out but tying to confirm do you or did you have to get the crank balanced for your l67 before you put it in your camaro I’ve bent told the flexplat to the flywheel are weighted differently and would need rebalancing because of the difference in piston and rod weight???

[QUOTE=Turbo V6 Camaro
the L32/67 and L36 are inter change able in fact i have an 2000 L67 block in my 1997 Camaro you only need to change the heads and intake and the headers out.
