is it still throwing the code after driving awhile or disconnecting battery for awhile? the code should clear after driving a bit and seeing no problems. any symptoms?

Default check the sensor signal if you can.

I had the same problem, and the mech. asked for 450$ replace the maf assembly. But had the sensor signal checked by another guy, and the problem was that it gave 0Hz sometimes, causing the mil to go off..! obviously it was a prob w/ the sensor, replaced the sensor, and it worked fine. On the otherhand, if the maf sensor reads less than 1200Hz, try spraying som alcohol near the intake while the engine is running, and if the sensor signal changes drastically, then you got a crack somewhere..!!! (you need to find som1 with a good obd2 scanner .. )

All air must pass through the MAF before entering the throttle body. Any leaks will cause problems. Check the 20 Amp ENG SEN fuse. At the sensor connector check for 12 Volt at the PNK wire, Ground on the WHT wire, and signal on the YEL wire (H.F. AC sig. may need a scope to actually see it). Also make sure the YEL wire is not open or shorted to ground.
