Default still having a problem with...

that damn ticking sound. But I do admit I haven't done much to fix it, I just changed the oil hoping that it would go away. But it hasn't, it hasn't gotten any worse though so that's good. What happens is I turn the car on and it ticks not super loud but you can definitely hear it, and after a second or 2 it quiets down but it's still there. I can hear it when it's idling, and sometimes even when I'm just driving. It drives fine, nothing's leaking, it does go through oil pretty fast though. What could it be? I need heeeeeellpp I love my camarooo =[ and I don't like to see it suffering. Thanks!!

Bad lifter, loose rocker arm, exhaust leak. If you have MPFI There is certain amount of ticking that is caused by the fuel injectors firing, this is normal, and you have to learn to live with it. Get yourself a cheap engine stethoscope. usually less than $10, and go around playing doctor and probing every part of the engine till you find the noise that is in sync withthe noiseyou are complaining about. if you don't want to spend the $10 get a 3-4 foot section f garden hose or a broom stick, stick one end to your ear and probe the engine with the other. Don't stick the hose against a hot exhaust manifold as it may catch fire. LOL

Since you mentioned it goes through oil pretty fast, I would do a compression and a leak down test.
