Hi everyone. I'm new to Camaro ownership and really stuck with this as I live in England U.K. and there's hardly any Camaros here or people who can help.
Basically I've bought myself a 1996 3.8 v6 camaro and I am having problems getting the Electric windows to operate and the car stereo to work. Have checked the obvious thing of the fuse and that seems ok.
Any Ideas on what could be causing the problem??

P.S. have done a search and it seems other people have experienced problems with there power windows when the stereo fails to work but cannot find a solution to the problem!

Stereo and windows are powered by the RAP (Retained Accessory Power) The function is part of the RAP module or the BCM (Body Control Module), depending on what you car has

 

cheers pete. Where would I look for the RAP or BCM?
is this repairable? I cannot easily get parts in U.K. for my chevy so need to be able to repair rather than replace.

Doing a search on RAP seems to be the bugger at fault!

Is it possible to bypass the RAP altogether? I ain't got a chance in hell of getting a replacement so need an alternative solution.

Ok I had a stereo problem for a while come to find out it was a fuse....but as far as the windows go your motor could be going out which is really easy to replace...my gang and I have the same issues with all our windows are motors are going out.....and what is going on with your radio what are you having issues with?
