94 will not flash codes, you need a scanner that will work on a 94, not all obd1 scanners will work on a 94. new filter would be a good idea, if you think its fuel pressure then test the fuel pressure, if its at 37-43 and holds its ok. if it is low or drops right away then it could be the regulator or the fuel pump. when was the last time its had new plugs and how do the plug wires look. weak spark or old or fouling spark plugs can cause stalling. a bad cam sensor, dirty injectors, failing coil, ignition switch, vats, failing aftermarket security system, or a bad connection on any of these can cause stalling as well.

 

Well I just got the car a month ago so not really sure when the last tune up was. The wires look ok but will prob replace the plugs and wires with the fuel filter. only other thing is looks to me someone bypass the passkey system.

 

have fun. lol. the v6 is not much easier to change plugs as a lt1. lol,,, required accessories for the lt1 change, bandaids and if of age beer or other mood altering substance.

 

You are lucky with the 3.4L you can get to all the plugs from the top. Driver's side is a breeze but the middle and rear on the pass side is a little harder. I would start with a tune up and filter change. Both the air and fuel, and get some good quality new plugs like Double platinum (platinums were factory for a 94 or 95) and a good set of wires too.

yeah i seen it wouldnt be too bad to change them, but id rather have a v8! i think im gunna order it all from summit racing. unless someone knows a better place.

Yea i see a lot of the new comers want to know how to do a v8 swap. I would just sell mine and buy a v8. The closest I came to that is i swapped an automatic into a manual (not a camaro, an eagle talon) And that was not too bad but we had the whole other car so that made it a lot easier.

 

To swap an auto to manual or visa versa here in a Camaro you might as well just get the auto or manual car. It is almost as much work as swapping the engines out.
