Some help please?
Found a93 v6 firebird with good body and decent interoir for a I thought decent deal. Guy said head was blown it had all the tale tale signs. Milky oil ran like crap so I started tearing down the heads. Well either I've only seen a really blown head gasket with a straight break from cam area to outside or I can't tell this one is blown. Both gasket look pretty good to me. Also car was rebuilt about 20k before finding water in the oil. (he had paperwork). Any ideals? I have some pics to show to help. Front ports and rear ports are terrible looking. Any help would be great before I just try to get my money back if it's a blown block. Not time or money to find a LT1.

Well I didn't see any break on it either can you paint a picture for me what it may look like. I'm may be just looking for the too obvisous. I'm searching for an actual break in the gaskets they all seemed fine no blow throughs or anything.
On my old engine (74 455) I swapped my intake manifold. It took me two trys to get it to stop leaking coolant into the engine (I had coolant in the oil)
I really don't know anyother ways coolant can get into the engine...I noticed the leak before I drove the car very far, so I didn't see any obvious signs of a gasket failure when I re-did the gasket...

if the intake or head gaskets were the culprita fewpistons would be chemical(steam cleaned) and almost look polished, it lookes like all the milky oil is coming out of the lifter holes, sounds like an internal coolant passage bursted all over the cam/ rod area.
get your money back, what do you have to lose if its still warranty'd
