When replacing the roller lifters in a 3.8, do you soak them in oil for a little while before installing them or not? My repair manual does not say but have had some people tell me I have to or they will colapse on start up. Others say ole wise tale. Come to ask here since I know some of you have replaced some in the past.

I soaked mine when I replaced them. That was 4 years ago and everything went fine.
