where can i get a short throw shifter for my 2001 v6? i've looked everywhere and can't find one for anything but the v8's

 

I have no clue why you are having an issue. Every shifter manufacture makes a t-5 camaro shifter. Most fit from 83-02 Hurst, BM, Pro-5. Just do a search on ebay for T5 Camaro shifter get the manufactures numbers and plug them in to your favorite parts site.

Not all shifters are equal depending on what you want to do with it. I have heard good reviews on all of the above shifters but the Pro model is hard to shorten up. I think the BM you can just buy a shorter handle and bolt it on. Hurst older design was like the BM but to be competitive with Pro on price they changed to a pro like design. When I bought my Hurst I found the older design. If I want to I can hack about an inch and a half off the bottom of my hurst shifter and drill one hole and be good to go.
