I let may car run to warm up.Popped the hood notice the hose that goes into thermostat(top hose) was swollen and really hot.so took out thermostat it looked fine,was just replaced 2-3 months ago(195 degree thermostat).so purchased a 180.do u think that was the issue??tux for ur time people.

 

no... its hot because the motor is hot. now if you squeezed it and you can't feel the coolant passing through then your thermostat is not opening. was the car overheating?

 

Well after running 15 min it will shut down but fire back up.that hose does feel like thermostat was not opening.
