Default Shift Control Unit

I came upon this part earlier today and i was wondering if it would help much. Also it says it eliminates the 1st to 4th factory set shift, what is that exactly? The automatics are 4-speeds, so why does it say 6-speed?

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...294965174+7609

I also found this http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...174+4294964815 would it help?

What you are describing is a skip shift eliminator for the LT1 and LS1 w/a 6-speed manual. It is hard to look at those links because it gives me 2942281 items to look at based on your search.

The first one wouldn't work for you as, the auto is a 4 speed. I haven't heard of the other one. That is, unless it is like the B&M ShiftPlus thing. The B&M was pretty easy to install, and the difference was noticeable.

Okay thats what i thought. I will look more into the other part. If you would like to see it go to autopartswarehouse.com, 2002 chevrolet, then find the Transmission category, then click on transmission programmer.
