Default Replacing lower ball joints

I have a 1994 Camaro that needs one lower ball joint replaced. I really prefer to do it myself. I went and bought the part and the tool ( press from autozone), but when I got home, in my book, it says it needs to be replaced by a mechanic with a hydraulic press, any way around this and how would I do it?

Use the press , if you can, to remove the old joint. Otherwise knock it out with a hammer. Then spray a little penetrating oil on the new joint and press it in. Try to press it as straight as possible. I've done hundreds of ball joints and never had to use a hydrolic press.
