removal of baffles in your intake?

You would probaly be better going with a aftermarket lid in the future.

There's really not a big difference between and aftermarket lid and the stock one with the baffles removed. Ones free, ones not.

That's up for debate and also depends on the lid, or kit. Most aftermarket lids will out flow a modified stock lid.

Like I said, not a big difference. I'd debate as to whether or not it would be worth spending the money on a new lid, when you could modify the original and get a K&N filter for basically the same price.

Aftermarket lids are taller and have a straight tube and the cross section is bigger... They actually flow quite a bit more than stock ones with no baffles... The more power you make, the more that flow is going to help.
