removal of baffles in your intake?

Default removal of baffles in your intake?

what exactly are the baffels in your intake?
everyone is talking about removing them in a 98+ camaro v-6.
and I have a 2001 v-6 camaro
can anyone tell me where their are and how to remove them?

They're on the inside of your airlid. Some people have said that they've used pliers to yank them out, but I used a Dremel and sandpaper.

yeah I looked and thought those were them, there on the top part right? about six inches long?
how much horse power would that add?
if i took them off

That is them. As far as power, I doubt you would notice the difference. I have heard some folks say the intake does get louder though.

so how do i go taking them off use plyers, or a knife, scissors
what is dremel?

I've had my dremel for about 6 years, best little thing I ever bought. I see they still sell the same model. They only had one cordless version back when I bought mine, I see that's changed. You can get sanding drums for them, cutting wheels, grinding stones, we sharpen our chainsaws with it, you can get a router attachment, very slick machines.

Those are reinforcement ribs that keeps the lid from warping. I'm sure any gain you may get from removing them wouldn't be noticeable, and certainly not worth all the effort. But that's just my $.02.

Just take some pliers and bend them back and forth a little and they break right off. Takes about 2 minutes. then sand any rough bits off.
