While your doing your shocks replace your bushings on all your suspension components. It'll give you a better ride and handling. They probably have never been changed. You can get kits from auto parts store. Shocks really depend on if you want stiffer suspension or just stock ride. Do a little research and get something for how you plan on making your car.
