Angry Radio problem.

i got a bad radio problem. when the car is running i can turn the volume high and listen to the radio. but when i turn the car off, the radio looses sound and, for lack of a better word, starts beating. it also does this while the car is running, when i turn on the lights and interior fans, then after i give it gas it goes back to normal. possible ground problem?

Sounds like you have a bad battery. The reason it sounds better when the car is running is because the altenator is supplying a steady 14 volts. The radio sounds crappy when the car is off because the battery is too weak to supply ample voltage on it's own. Just because a battery will start your car dosent mean it's good. Try having it checked.

Do you have an aftermarket amp? If so it could be more than the stock batt. can handle.

Its the quantim dewaublator. Just kidding. Sounds like the radio is not getting enough power to push the speakers. As machine1999z28 said, have the battery checked under load. Also, if the battery is good, the internal amps in the radio may be going.
