question installing 3800 in camaro

i wanting to install a 3800 in my 89 camaro can i use my 5 speed and what all do i need to change in order to do this swap---is this a good swap-if not what 6cyl would be a good swap

Change everything.
Radiator, tranny, engine and electronics, etc...
You need a T5 from another 60 degree v6 with the starter pocket on the side opposite that of the Camaro v6 offerings pre-95.
Yes, the 3.8L has a 60 degree bellhousing bolt pattern. You can find a 2.2L s-10 T5 and use that.
An easy swap would be a 3.4L. Drop all the 2.8L stuff on it, pretty much, and drive off.
Of course, that is if you must stay v6 and are on a budget.
