Switching engines on anything is rather asinine. If you want a car with a 3800, buy a car with a 3800. If you want a car with an ls1, buy a car with an ls1.
Thing is, by the time you get through jacking around with everything that will need to be changed, you'll already have as much in the thing as it would have taken to get what you wanted in the first place. Not only will you have too much money in it, the car will be worth less because you've monkeyed around with it. I mean really fella, you want to change one v6 for another? Jimminy crickets and rectal cranial transpositions and spank me with a stick!

dumbass the whole reason they put the new front end on 98-02 was cause the ls1 would not fit right in the 93-97 front. he would have to switch the whole front end too. too much $$$ just buy an ls1 car.
