Default problemms 94 3.4

so i bought a 94 3.4L v6 camaro and ive put at least 900 into it already and i cant figure out whats wrong with it. it runs really rough. it was only using 4 cylinders when i bought it but i changed the coils and the other 2 started working again. but now it seems its back down to 4. ive changed all 3 coils, plug wires, plugs, egr valve, pcp valve, gas pump, air filter, cleaned the throttle body and sensor. and also when i get the car up to 50mph and its at 2k it shakes like crazy. is this a transmission problem? pleeease let me know if u know anything cause i really need to get it running good. thx so much.

If only 4 of the 6 cylinders are working, the car will definitely run rough

My has the same problems and I know the problem is in the head. Haven't changed it yet because of time and money constraints but when I do I'll let you know how it turns out.

Do you get a check engine light? If so, what are the codes?

It's most likely a problem that is just recurring. Check the ignition control module. Autozone tests them for free. Also, try swapping coil packs again. It's completely possible that it's faulty again. Make sure the plug wires are routed properly and are not lying on any hot surfaces (i.e. manifolds, exhaust components, other plug wires, etc.). Since you're driving a 1994 model, you can check the codes at home without a scan tool. First, make sure the connector located under the steering wheel in the foot compartment area does NOT have a 16-prong OBDII connector. GM had an early surplus if the new OBDII connectors and has been known to equip pre-1996 OBDI models with them. Take a paper clip or a jumper wire and jump the last two terminals on the top row (the two closest to the passenger side). Once it's properly jumped, turn your key to the ON position. Watch your SES lamp and it should flash once, pause, and then twice. That indicates a code 12. This means that it's in diagnostic mode and is ready to flash codes. It may flash 12 a few more times, so note it. If anything other than a 12 is flashed, let us know. Again, it will do as follows:

FLASH
-PAUSE-
FLASH
FLASH

-PAUSE-

1-2 = 12
