OK i have a 1997 RS Camaro and it seems to have something clogged either a fuel filter or a injector. The thing is we just had it serviced not too long ago maybe 9 months.... It seems to idle ok but when i put it into gear it acts like it is going to die. As long as i don't accelerate too fast it seems ok but say i want to go from 35 to 45 i have to do that very slowly or it will sputter. So my question is has anyone else had this problem and if so your input would be greatly appreciated.

 

Id the MIL lite lit or flashing? If it is get the car scanned. If it isn't misfiring, then check the TPS.

 

no there are no warning lights on.... today i went to drive it and everything seemed fine. so apparently overnight something happened.

 

check ur ignition coils. You may have a bad coil. Like I had that problem. When I would accel. fast it would sputter. But If i press the gas FIRMLY i would get up to the speed I wanted to go.

Under a load it gets poor excelleration? Possibly plugged C.A.T.

 

i had 2 injectors go on me and it did the same thing

 

the only reason i don't want to think it is the injectors is because we just had it tuned up and all of that was cleaned and checked.

 

my girlfriends camaro is doing that now, we changed the egr valve o2 sensors and we had the injectors cleaned and a new feul filter still no go, were changing the cat this weekend, but if you figure it out let me know what it was please

 

had that problem a year ago... It was the CAT. A fuel injector would set off your Check engine light, and possibly have it blink on and off. Check the CAT as soon as you can, cause driving it too long like that will ruin your transmission.
