Power Loss During Acceleration.
#11
I put Sea Foam in it yesterday. Well it stalled today and left me stranded. It was back firing in the intake and sputtering and then just died... I have ruled it down to either the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. I'm going to rent a fuel pressure tester tomorrow and figure out whats wrong. I'm hoping its the regulator tho. I have a full tank of gas and dropping that tank to get my fuel pump out will be a b**** and a half!

Oh ok I didn't know if I just remembered wrong...cuz I remember I was selling my car a while back and then stopped, came across your post and was going to msg you about working something out...atleast I think it was you. But you wanted manual transmission so I didn't bother.

Ok so this is weird. The car left me stranded and refused to stay running any time it turned over. It would turn over for about a second and die. I let it sit for 45 minutes, jumped in it, and it fired right up and ran all the way home. It's a pain to get it to start in the mornings sometimes. It's still hesitating during hard acceleration but if I go easy and accelerate real slow, it's fine and doesn't hesitate. Sometimes when I start the car I have to pump the gas constantly to get it to stay running and even then I can't get it go up past 3000 rpm's. Anyone have any ideas?

^How expensive will that be? It's acting like it has a lack of fuel getting to the motor. It'll spit and sputter and then just finally sputter down to 200 rpm's and die. Then it'll start right back up but die instantly as if there is no fuel getting to the injectors. After cranking and starting it 5 or 6 times it won't turn over at all unless I let it sit for 30 minutes or so.
