Is this possible?
Hey, I have a 2000 camaro with a seres II 3800. My question to everyone is, would it be possible to pull the supercharger off a 3800 series II pontiac? The pontiac grand prix is the only v6 i know that was big enough tobolt a supercharger on. Couldnt that same supercharger be bolted on the camaro? With a 4" cowl induction hood, shouldnt ithave enough room to fit?I'm thinkin it would work. feedback please.
I know I've seen either on this forum or another Camaro forum, the 3800 Series II FWD and RWD platforms are a little different in how the injectors are installed. (One has them in the heads, the other in the intake manifold or something like that), that and fitment is basically impossible in the F-body since half the engine is covered by the dash. In theory it would fit on the engine if you swapped out the entire top end (heads, intake and fuel delivery system), but it won't fit in the car.
Plus, you'd need the bottom end components from the supercharged one so that it wouldn't self-destruct the first time you ran it hard.

It's been documented to be done ONCE
It used components of the L36 and L67, VERY expensive, TONS of custom work, all for 40hp...
Building your engine, aftermarket supercharger, V8 Swap would all be more successful
