I have a 99 Camaro V6 and it started giving me problems a couple months ago. It started to run REALLY ROUGH... I got a tune up and then I took it to the mechanic and was told it was thecatalytic converter so I got that changed. So the next day it ran fine, but then after that it went back to being rough. The rpms and the battery were going all over the place too!!!

It's still running rough, but not nearly as bad as last time. It runs fine when it's dry outside, but when it rains it runs rough. This morning on my way to work it was running rough and then all of a sudden it wouldn't go past the speed of 15 mph!!! I'm afraid to move my car now... does anyone have any idea what it could be?...........

Hey i had a simular problem, i would be driving fine and all of a sudden when i would step on the gas it wouldnt go much faster. I was on the freeway one time when it happened and i was going 70 mph. I had to slow down because someone was merging in. When i went to speed up again it wouldnt go much faster. The rpms were staying at about 2000. I hap to floor it just to gain a mph every 2 or 3 seconds.And it ran rough. I pulled over and turned off the car for about 5 minutes, then i got back on the road and it ran fine. This happened EVERY time i took the car out. It turned out to be that two of my injecters were cloged and the coolent had torned to mud. That rough hesitating was the engine overheating. I thought it was my cats too. So check your coolent and make sure the injecters are good. Also, check the O2 censors and the spark plugs.
