Default Please help!

On my way to work today my motor start ticking loudly, we looked into it and found that the connecting rod busted off a piston head. The motor is apparently junk now. My grandpa has a s10 with a 4.3L v6 and he is convinced that it would fit right in... i dont beleive so. My car is a 1998 3.8l series2 camaro. Anyone know anything about this?

It would probably fit in the bay, but I believe that would be the easiest part of it. I don't believe it would bolt to your current bellhousing, and wiring and such would all have to be changed out. I'm sure there is more. There is probably a reason nobody (that I have heard or read about) has done this.

i was thinking it wouldn't fit because it is a throttle body... there isn't enough hood clearance

Ya, i dont think id mess with it unless you really knew what you were doin... Id look for a new motor thats actually out of a Camaro, and even then, motor swaps are tough on these newer cars.
Are you sure your motor is junk? Id take it to some shop that knew their stuff and have them double check. It make only require a tear-apart and some parts to fix
