I have a1996 camaro. I went to start it up yesterday and the alarm went off and wouldnt let me start it up. I tried disconnecting the battery and a couple other troubleshooting techniques but they didn't seem to work. Everytime i turn my key to start the car it just clicks and the alarm goes off. Does anyone know whats going on????

 

I guess your alarm went bad, aseventually happens,and leftyou stranded. Do you have an aftermarket alarm, or just using the VATS sytem that came with the factory? Does the security light come on when you attempt to start the engine?

 

yeah, that anti theft system wont let you turn the car on if it thinks the car is being stolen
