Default Please help - 1998 Camaro RS

[align=left]

Hi everyone,

I am new here and I test drove a 1998 Camaro RS, 3.8L V6, 5 speed and I have never driven a Camaro before, but I noticed the car had quite a rumble to it and the shifter was shaking quite a bit. The shifter was vibrating (almost shaking) pretty good in idle and while driving. To be honest, I kinda liked it, but I just want to know if this is what it's suppose to do.

Like I said, it's 1998 with 107,000km or about 65,000 miles.

1. Is this normal for a V6 Camaro for the shifter to vibrate (shake)?
2. Is the clutch suppose to be pretty stiff? the last 5 speed I drove was a 2003 cavalier to compare.
3. Any other things I should look at before purchasing this car?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

yeah that is normal for the shifter to feel that way, if it doesnt shift firmly into gear then you have an issue, but vibrations normal. Makes it Fun :-)
