Default performance chip

Are these chips just a waste off money, or do they actually do somthing? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20HP-...78818273QQrdZ1

is this one any better? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RACIN...88964103QQrdZ1

im planning on getting a CAI soon for my 96 rs, and was just wondering what i can do to get a little more power for not that much money. Any input would be great.

Don't trust ANYTHING for chips on ebay, most of them are scams and don't really do anything at all. If you're really looking for a chip look at JET or Hypertech. Personally, I don't have one, but others say it's a waste of money for the chip. I plan on buying the hypertech programmer. http://www.hypertech.com

You are looking at a resistor for $10.00. If you really want that then measure the resistance of your air temp sensor when cold and buy a resistor for that value at radio shack.

That is not a chip, that is a $0.10 resistor. It changes he output of the IAT sensor making the air look colder than it really is. All it accomplishes is to confuse the PCM and cause the engine to run poorly.
