I have looked all over, and I cant seem to find anything about this. I have a 94 3.4l V6 auto camaro and I have been told to check and replace the PCV valve but someone said I dont have one? So do I have one and if so, what am I looking for if its bad, and where is it and lastly, how to replace it? I tried searching this forum but the search doesnt bring anything up and I couldnt find much info even on google. So more info would be great, thank you.

(Im talking to someone about it now, but I need a 3rd post to unlock everything apparently, so thought Id just post this. Also, that person might have gotten off since I havent heard a reply lately.)

 

ok ive done a little research and it seems the car does have one... its located on the passenger side valve cover... as for what to look for in terms of if its shot just replace it its only like 3 bucks i change it with every tuneup

There's a spring inside and it needs to rattle back and forth so that it can open and close. If it's gummed up, swishing some gasoline through it should clear it up -- you don't have to replace if it is made to work.

Here ya go, #3:

 

WAIT A MINUTE!!! Is it the piece that comes out of the valve cover, bends at a 90 degree angle and than has a long tube attached to it that bends back into the intake? Well did, after the CAI install, it currently has a breather filter at the end of it. If so, I know exactly, what to look for, how to take it off and how to make sure its good or not. Only problem Ill have is I had to put an adhesive on the outside of it because it was loose and leaking.

 

Well that is something I didn't know about. Thank you for telling me about the spring. Ill be looking for that first thing tomorrow.

 

I didn't know about the spring either I always thought the rattle was a check ball lol

 

the pcv valve is on the drivers side valve cover towards the back. the passenger side valve cover has a breather pipe going to the stock intake system. FYI
