"crankshaft position sensor a circuit range/performance"

Keep on getting this code on my 96 camaro 3.8 auto, rally sport! Can anybody help? Should I replace the whole sensor, or is there something else I should look at? Thanks
Also does anybody have a digram or know where I would find the crankshaft sensor?

 

Change the sensor before the car stops running.
Make sure the electrical connectors are clean and tight.





Location:
Under hood, center, front engine area, rear of crankshaft pulley, mounted in engine block.
Replacement:
Look for 3.8 section,

I think that indicates a timing issue -- right?

 

All position sensors are related to timing.

 

Also make sure the reluctor ring is clean and not damaged.
