Did you notice if the fans were coming on or not? Check to make sure all the air is out of the system with the heat turned on and the temp is the hot position and that the rad is topped off. Make sure that the fins on the rad are not blocked by dirt, leaves, etc. You probably already done all that but just checking.

When you flush it, you are suppose to turn the heater on and the temp to the hot position in order for flow through the heater core. Also, same when you bleed the system. That way, you get the crude and air out of the heater core. The thermo has to be warm enough to be open when you bleed it too.
