Default Opinions plz Buying a camaro for my gf

Ok i will be buying a v6 camaro for my gf pretty soon but i am wanting to know how reliable they are most likely i will be buying her one with close or a lil over 100k miles on it i got 5k to spend not yet still saving but i need to make sure it is ok and reliable enough for here she knows nothing about cars and i am alwasy busy to work on it. so does anyone know how much maintence is required after 100k or how much longer the car runs befor serious maintenance is required like i dont wanna buy it then have to have to pay someone to replace the tranny it is also a automatic. most likely form 1995-2000 for the year model i am pushing for a 2000 and up though i will jut be searching for a lil bit.

My best advise for you is to get a 2000 with a clean history report and one that has less then 100k. I have a 00 V6 and it has 108,500 miles on it. I bought it with 90,000 and i had to have the fuel censor replaced and and the o2 censors were bad. Luckly for me the dealership paid the expences to have it fixed. Thank god, because it all came to close to $2000. Camaros are very labor intensive and ezpensive to have fixed. So if you buy her one, make sure that everything is ok. Everything from heater and AC, to the engine. Dont do what i did and assume everything was up to par. If you go to an older year 93-97, they are slightly less of a pain to fix, but also go wrong more often. So just be sure its a good Camaro!

Oh and by the way, $5000 for a 2000 or up on a good Camaro is a little low...think moe like 7-10k. Not unless it is a 93-97.

My 3.4 camaro has 191,000 Miles on it. It still runs like a champ. Right now Im having the clutch replaced and it seems to have been the same clutch the factory put in it in 94. First off I wouldnt spend 5 grand on a v6 camaro. That is just crazy. But if you are going to. I would only pay about 3 grand for a 93-97 V6. 5000 for a 93-97 Z28, and I would really look for a 98-02 for around 4 grand especially if you are planning on paying in cash .

Well i guess the price also depends on where you live. Im fromCalifornia and everything is expensive here. I know Texas is either the 2nd or 3rd most populated state, so prices are probably higher too. So i dono, we are throwing prices around, but we all come from different states. So its kinda hard to say for sure. (sorry for the geography lesson)

I got a 2002 Camaro with 34k miles on it, and it was like 13k-16k.
