Default One piece driveshaft in today

The dreaded 2 piece driveshaft is gone! My 94 3.4L Camaro will be sittin' pretty with this new single piece driveshaft, not to mention new transmission seals, new differential seals, and a new pinion propeller yoke. Yes, I'm replacing the u-joint straps as well. Can't wait to crank it up......UPS will have it here in an hour or so!

Honestly, I,ve had a bunch of trouble trying to slide the new yoke into the new extension housing bushing I replaced. I can't get it to slide in. Any ideas? I started a new thread on the subject seeking help and ideas.

Curious why you changed driveshafts? Were you having a particular problem? Wondering because my 98 with 3.4 and AT just started making a thumping noise when it is decelerating. Obviously, is in the power train as the frequency is dependent on speed. It does NOT make the noise when speeding up and seems a worse with turning left as compared to not as bad turning right. Don't feel any vibration either in steering, brakes or car at any time. Just the thump. Any ideas?

93-97 v6 camaros have a 2 peice drive shaft. They are heavy and provide a major loss in power transfer. Your car should have a 1 peice steel ds. The sound your hearing could be a number of things. Start a new thread and include as much indie as you can so wecsn help you figure out the problem.

What he said^^ BTW you don't have a 3.4. 1995 was the last year for the 3.4 in the Camaro.

You are absolutely right. I knew V6 and must have been thinking about my 94 Camaro that does have the 3.4 engine. It is the car I USUALLY buy parts for.
