oil pressure question

Default oil pressure question

3.4 my oil pressure dropped to the line above the red line when i was cruising in 5th drop it in 4th it was half way mark sel light came on also got to the house an looked around it is leaking around the oil pan an front seal i have not had it presser tested yet and not sure about the oil sending unit

if its leaking oil that makes the oil pressure drop right o an im 1 an a half quarts low

No, an oil leak doesn't directly make the oil pressure drop (oil pressure is not crankcase pressure). But a bad enough leak to where the level in the pan is so low that the oil pump starves out will give you low, or no oil pressure.

ok well monday im going to my brothers shop to have him pressure check it
