NO! High oil pressure is not the result of having too much oil, but a smoky exhaust could be. If the pressure is staying the same at all times, the gage or sending unit could be bad. Otherwise it could be a dirty oil filter, or stuck pressure relief valve, grade of oil too heavy, or a wiring problem. Verify the oil pressure with a test gage before attacking things.

Get a cheap mechanical gage, remove the oil pressure sending unit and connect the mechanical gage in its place. Run the engine & see what the gage registers. What grade of oil are you using? It may be that it is heavier than what it is called for.

Use the gage without installing it in the dash, hold it in your hand. Don't bother going on line, just go to your local parts store. Then again, 60 PSI at high RPM is OK, and the oil pressue normally goes up with RPM. I thaught you meant you had over 60 PSI at idle, which would be excessive. The oil pressure went up after the oil change because you got rid of the oil & gas mix you had in the crankcase.
