Odd electrical issue
Hi everyone,
I am not the most saavy car guy but I'm having trouble that no one can seem to help with.
I have an 02 V6 manual transmission. 115K mi.
In March I replaced the alternator and battery myself. At the end of May I had the 100K mi service done. Almost immediately I had issues. The battery gauge would "jiggle" or noticeably wander while driving and when I would turn the car off the dash would go dead and ALL of my gauges would spike back and forth twice. I immediately made an appt at service center but the car died before I could get there. She wouldn't even take a jump. They said my battery was dead and that was all so I replaced it. Three weeks later, the same issue and now a dead battery. They swear up and down that I keep buying bad batteries and that they properly connected everything after the service.
Has anyone had an issue like this or any idea what is happening?
Thanks for any help.

make sure you have the small ground connected of batt neg to body and look to make sure they didnt nock off one of the grounds onthe engine to fire wall and engine to frame also make sure your alt is putting out with nothing on just car running should be between14.0 and 14.6 two bad batteries i don t think so this is all i do is auto electrical hop this helps
Although not exactly a common issue it is posible for an alt to overcharge a battery, resulting in battery failure. Quick test the charging system with a voltmeter, should give you 12.6 at rest and 14.0 or so running with no accessories on, if you read 14.8 or more with the engine running you may have been given the wrong alt or the alt is malfunctioning
