^ What he said. The bolt pattern is different between the V8's and V6's. So, whoever sold you the car lied to you. I'd double check that the rear end is from a WS6 as well. If it's LSD, both tires should spin in the same direction when the cars in neutral in the air. Mark the drive shaft and count approximately how many times it turns.

I have no Idea who told you swapping in another 3800 causes problems. There is a very detailed post in this V6 forum about what has to be changed. I know of aleast 3 car within 10 miles of me that have the S-III 3800's in them. I guess we forgot to tell them there is problems. I swapped a 2002 SII into my 96 3 years ago and Have over 50K on it since the swap. In fact that fasted turbo 3800 on these forums is running low miles S-III still stock botom end.
The WS6 transmission in a V6 is pretty funny.

Ok . So I checked my rear end serial number and searched online and it came out as 94 ws6. The tranny as u guys mention is bone stock. So am I able to just put the tranny that comes with the 05 engine ?

As for the WS6 rear. Other than the gear ratio in it, it is no different than any other 10 bolt build at the time. So, in other words, it is still a weak 7.5 in. 10 bolt.

Would it be possible to just have a head swap and install a new timing chain intense-racing has a double roller for 99$ and I found heads for 150. And spray ? I want to save for abbot heads and cam

Its possible to spray your motor as it is. IMO replacing/upgrading the headgaskets is a minimun.
I don't understand, you can find a low miles SIII motor for $400-600 why mess with a 160K motor at all? The SIII motor is stronger and breaths better and if you screw up with the nitrous system you could alway put your old motor back in. Nitrous can be used safely but it is VERY common for guys to blow their first Nitrous motor.
