A burn out is a burn out regardless of how you do it... And either way, automatic or standard, it's still retarded and a waste of good rubber.

Eh, I kinda have to agree yet disagree with all of this. The burnout was pretty decent, I've seen worse attempts posted on YouTube. I planned on burning my tires out when it's time for new ones just for fun. The slow-mo was...interesting...but I dunno if I would go around posting the 3.4 as a rice eater without some serious mods, my 3.8 stock girl could probably have no problem taking and holding a lead over a stock 3.4...especially since her driver doesn't like to lose

Yeah it'd be an easy win. Eh I just don't like burnouts. I see it as a waste of money unless, as you said, are going to buy new tires anyhow.

lol i dont do hard-core burn outs with a **** ton of smoke, its for special occassions like to see if the new fly wheel works good, or how well that carb rebuild went lol. and i do consider my 5.7L a rice-eater, and it doesnt have many mods, just an edelbrock air cleaner, 4 prong plugs and an MSD 6AL lol

Yeah. I'd never do it just to do it...but I thought it would be fun to burn out and play around to tear them up when they get bad, but until then, no way.

I am guilty of quite a few burnouts, but then it was in my dad's 56 belair with the slicks on and at the track. Other than that the only time I have ever done a burnout is when I am going in about an hour to get new tires put on my car.
