ya im 16 and ive done some pretty stupid **** such as pullin out into traffic on wet blacktop kicked my *** end out and i almost pulled a 180 but luckily no one was coming on the road with a 50mph speed limit r i prob. wouldn't be here, it might have happened to u already but that 3.8 has plenty of power for someone with only our experience if i were u i would keep the 3.8 until u fully kno what ur cars gonna do... and btw if i were u i would put on that second gear start in the rain cause in 1st gear the slightest tap of the gas off the line will spin very easily, especially on blacktop

I just don't understand kids wanting to race through town. What's the point? To see who can get from this stoplight to the next? If you want to race it, take it to the track like the big boys. Putting high dollars into a V6 Camaro is pathetic, to say the least. It's not a total speed machine. It's adequately fast for what it is. Plus, in my state, if you're caught going over 15mph over posted, you go to jail on the spot for careless and reckless driving. If you're caught for street racing, you pay a fine, lose your license, and lose your car (and can possibly face jail time). A boy I know was racing in town. Wrecked, totaled his car, and so happened to NOT have health insurance. He still owes a major hospital in the state roughly $300,000.00 some dollars. Point is, enjoy your car. If you want more, sell it and get a Z28. Otherwise, understand that a Z will be faster, as will Cobras and some GTs. Besides, do you really want to be a part of the 'we race our cars in town because our penises are too small to please a woman' crowd?

how many miles does your camaro have? cuz any of those nitrous upgrades and what not can be extremely harmful 100k+ miles.... and respect the law, even if you are a awesome driver, the person driving that oncoming car mite not know what to do when they see you doing 100 coming at them. im only 16, and ive thrown my back end out before, and done a power brake and all that... but on a industrial park road where there's maybe 10 cars a day on it.. not around anyone. dont F*** up your life or any one elses.

Most certainly. My point is to let him know that slamming bits and parts and pieces into his engine will never turn a profit. Not that life should be based on a profit, but lets face it, cars don't mature in prices (at least nothing discussed on these boards, minus 1st gen. restored Camaros).

I have driven way more than 50 - 60 miles to go to various tracks and autocrosses. If your complaining about that being to far that’s just lazy on your part.
