It won't hurt anything, especially withtemperatures starting to warm up having thicker oil is ok. But i like to use the same oil everytime, find something you like and stick with it.

So what do you all think of the Full Synthetic oil Wal Mart sells (Super Tech) -- I think it's like ~$13.82 for a 5 quart bottle...
My guess is this is just fine -- but I wonder if it is truly much different than a Mobil 1?!

"The oil that Wal-Mart sells under their house name (Super-Tech) is very good quality oil. In many tests done over the last year or so, the 'Super-Tech' oil was superior to many name-brand oils. The oil is supplied to Wal-Mart by Pennzoil/Quaker-State. It uses the same high-quality group II/III base stocks as their name oil, but uses an off-the shelf additive package.
Their 'Super-Tech' oil filters are also very high quality, unfortunately much better than Fram. Fram has really gone downhill in the last several years, ever since 'Allied-Signal' bought them. At less than $3.00 apiece, the 'S-T' filters are a smokin' bargain."

I hate to steal a thread, but Liberty do you have any facts to back up your claim with the Super-Tech oil? I am not saying you are making it up but I do wonder if you have or have seen any scientific test results or done any experimentation of your own. I do agree however that fram has gone down hill over the last few years. Their filters are no better than straining you oil through a paper towel.

I just did a google search and found that info at that link -- upon further searching, Super Tech Synthetic is made by Warren Distribution

from what someone just said Super Tech oil is not made by quaker state it is made by Warren Distribution. In my unprofessional personal opinion I would stay away from Super-Tech anything and go with a 100% tried and true brade that we all know and trust mobile 1 is great oil royal purple is great too and WILL give you more horsepwer and better gas mileage. As far as filters purolator and Motorcraft are good. Hope this helps again this is all my unprofessional opinion it is just my two cents worth.
