Everyone would be well advised to add a locking gas cap to their car. I cannot understand why all cars don't have a locking fuel door anyhow!

I would not get into doing anything destructiv to someone else's car, unless you like talking to people in law enforcement...

Get under the car and take off the fuel filter, unplug a plug wire, potato in the exhaust, water in gas tank... I could do way worse for ya but that will do

The more I think about the more I wonder. Would sugar go back to being white after it mixed with gas? I would think you would get a brown syrup like mix. Normally when i see sugar that has been desolved it just takes on the color of what it was in. The white powder could be the result of a chemical reaction caused by bad gas. I am guessing here but white powder does not sound right for sugar that has already been in gas. should be a pretty simple test.

I thought sugar didn't mix with gas. Gonna have to try a little garage experiment with some in a container to know exactly how it reacts I guess.
Or Gorn, you could put some in your tank and let us know what it does?

It would have to break down at some level? The grains are way to big to get thru a filter. I assumed it desolved until it found something to kling to.

"The Google" tells me your right. Putting sugar in a gas tank has about the same effect as putting sand in the tank. It can clog the sock and it can clog the filter but that is about it. It should not be able to get to the injectors.

Yes, anything that blocks flow will burn up the pump.

you should put bologna on his car, then wait for him to peel it off. it would be kinda hard to do because it would have to be in the middle of the day but i heard that it would take off the paint.

Default Similar Problem

the symptoms are almost identical to mine. the problems started happening right after somebody put sand on my hood and put a couple scratches in it. I replaces the coils, had the spark plugs replaced, and the ignition module. My fuel pump went and then i replaced that. then the car still wasnt running right and i had multiple cylinder missfire. Gas started to get down into the oil. (the lifters started clicking) I had one fuel injestor replaced, but it didnt help. I finally had the rack of fuel injectors replaced. It seemed to work (the lifters were only there when cold) but it seemed rough. It didnt seem to have all the get up and go it had. There is a vibration that is almost always there. When the engine gets above a certain rpm the vibration goes away. I think the gas is getting into the oil still. i have put over $1000 into this already, i just want it fixed
