hey thanks, i've got i narrowed down toa randomn cylinder misfire. I had it scanned at muffler man and they said it was 3 and 6 cylinders. I've been told it could be a coil pack, ori need my fuel system cleaned out or ignition module. I really have no idea what it is. I've heard the most that its the coil pack. Any thoughts?

Try swapping your 3/6 coil pack around with another and see if the misfire follows your moves. If so, time to toss the pack in the trash and buy a new one. As far as the random misfire, I'd suggest a possible spark plug replace, but most certainly would replace the plug wires.

thankx. im going to try that this weekend. I was told to try and fix it from the cheapest way first. Obviously swithchin them is free but if that doesn't work what should i check next? The fuel pressure or maybe the ignition control module?

Has the plug wires ever been replaced? If so, make sure NONE are touching the exhaust manifold. Also, make sure they're not tied together. They should go from the packs, to the rear of the engine, and underneath the exhaust manifolds. I realized that mine had been routed incorrectly, which caused my PCM to log a P0300 Random Misfire Code, and until recently, I used our SnapOn Mt2500 scanner in misfire monitor mode to monitor my cylinders. I found that my random misfire occured in 3 only, so It was a clear guess as to what to expect. Just for curiosity, inspect the wires to cylinders 3 and 6. Make sure there's no white powdery substance on it (carbon tracking) or no breaks or that it lies directly on a surface that may ground it.

Please, tell me how it goes.
