Misfire!? Please Help!
94 3.4 v6 5-speed high mileage.
I was in a rush yesterday so i kicked it down and was doing about 85mphmost of the way home, (about 10 miles) anyways it wasrunning fine i didn't come close to overrevving it, I shifted at like 4 grand and I was only at about 3300rpms at 85anyways, My enginetemp was at about 180*, Oil pressurewas/(still is)fine.when i got it home it seems to like bog at low rpm's 1500-3000
and just sounds rough. The plugs are fairly new Bosch Platinums, The wires I have not replaced and they definately need replaced (going to do that today)
I was just wondering if this sounds like something simple like a misfire due to bad plug/ wires (that got hotand fouled out) or something like a valve sticking? I don't hear any rattles clanks, or anything like that it's still holding good oil pressure. The exhaust tone is just awkward sounding and it doesn't have the acceleration at low rpms.
Since it's OBI-1 I can't just go to autozone and have it scanned right?

After you do the wires, if that isnt the problem, itmight beyour catylatic converter may have gotten pluged up when you got on it, you might as well justbuy a nice high flow cat and take it some place to be installed.

Auto zone or advance auto should have one you could use right there in the parking lot. Do you have a check engine light? Also, when was the last tune up?........might be that time.

For all cars previous to 1996, it is OBD-I, and you need a scanner like this one:

I recently split the price of one with my Dad, and you can find them reasonably priced on eBay.

Wrong, Autozone ONLY does scans for cars 1996 and newer -- OBD-II ONLY...

WRONG! OBD-I CAN be scanned, and I have done so with the AutoXray 6000!
Check your facts!

It can be scanned with the proper scanner and cable. What causes confusion is that the computer is OBDI but the connector is OBD2. Plain old code readers will not work, but a good scanner that can do OBDI or both OBDI and OBDII, and has the right cables will work fine.

This one fits the bill, I know and own it -- works on the '95 Camaro which is OBD-I, has the correct cable included in the kit:

The connector shape is OBD-II, but the pins are not the same as a standard OBD-II cable...
